The LostVolts CV1 allows you to create music from the ether by moving the hand – or any part of the body, towards or away from the antenna.
It generates a CV (Control Voltage) that can be used with most analogue synthesisers.
You can use the CV1 to change the pitch of oscillators, the cutoff frequencies of filters, LFO modulations, VCAs or anything else that accepts a CV input including modular synths and the growing number of analogue synthesisers with a CV patch board.
Perfect for electronic music, eerie sci-fi, psychedelic, dance, ambient, rock, experimental etc..
IMPORTANT! The Lostvolts, CV1 Control Voltage theremin outputs no sound, no audio.
You don’t connect it to an amplifier or headphones.
It has no MIDI or USB output.
It sends analogue control voltages to control analogue synthesisers.
Please take a look at the LV-2 (pitch only) and LV-3 (pitch and volume) for traditional audio theremins.
The RANGE control sets the CV range. At the maximum setting this is about 0 to 6.5 volts.

The SENSITIVITY control is usually adjusted for maximum range when the hand is moved away from the antenna.
Powered from a 9 volt, PP3 or Duracell # MN1604 battery (rectangular – commonly used in guitar fx pedals) not included, as we are not allowed to send them through the post any longer.
The CV1 can also be powered by a 9 – 12 volt d.c., 100mA, 2.1mm plug, centre positive power adaptor (not included).
